Kartik Fine Arts sabha is celebrating its golden jubilee anniversary on April 14 evening at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s main hall, Mylapore. The jubilee year souvenir will be released.
Senior musicians – Prameela Gurumurthy, violinist Madurai S.Balasubramanian, theatre artistes Kamala Kamesh and Kutty Padmini are being honoured with Kartik Lifetime Achievement Awards. There are awards for a few other artistes too. K. V. S. Gopalakrishan, IPS (retd.) is the chief guest.
The award function will be followed by a music concert, ‘Classic Classicals – a blend of classical and Tamil film classics’ presented by Subhasree Thanikachalam. The event is open to all.
