The Ayyappa Bhaktha Samajam in Mandaveli joins hands with Kalyana Nagar Association to conduct its annual mandala pooja this year from Dec. 21 to 27. This is the 64th edition of the pooja this Samajam has conducted.
Many special events have been lined up. On the opening day, Dec.21, Sri Suryanarayana homam is being held; on Dec.24, the Maha Rudra Yagnam and on Dec.25, the main event – Laksharchana, Karamarchana, Sasthapreethi and annadhanam is to be held.
The mandala pooja concludes on Dec.27 with a grand procession of the deities.
In the evenings, there are to be two music concerts, one at 5 p.m. and the other at 6.45 p.m. over six days. Eminent artistes like Brahmashri Udayalur Kalyanarama Baghavathar, O. S. Mohan O. S. Mukundan, Gayathri Mahesh and the Chaitanya Bhajan Mandali will perform. Rasikas are welcome for these.
Samajam president C. V. Viswanathan says people from across the neighbourhood and around can attend the pooja.
