Children’s Day celebration at P. S. Senior Secondary School, Mylapore, began with grade-wise events, creating a fun-filled atmosphere for all the students. And it was the magic show that wowed all.
The Primary and Pre-primary students came to school in colourful dresses.
Grades 1 and 2 enjoyed a lively Zumba dance session, with an instructor leading the way on
stage. The students enthusiastically followed her steps, moving to the rhythm of some upbeat Zumba songs.
Similarly, Grades 7 and 8 participated in another round of Zumba.
For Grades 3, 4, 5, and 6, the highlight was a magic show by Raja from the renowned Universal Magic Show team. Raja’s performance captivated the children with his tricks. Some of the most memorable moments included a white feather changing colours under a cloth, and Raja swallowing an egg only to produce the same egg moments later.
The most magical moment was when Raja took a photograph of a pigeon, waved a cloth, and brought a real pigeon out from the photo, leaving the students in awe.
The magician also invited teachers and students to try their hand at some magic tricks, making the experience even more interactive and fun.
To make the day even more special, all the children were given chocolates.
The success of the event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of the
PTA (Parents-Teachers Association) members
