BJP cadres set up counter at Chitrakulam to help seniors sign up for PM’s new health insurance scheme

Some 100 people have queued up at a shamiana counter set up by BJP cadres near the north side of the Chitrakulam this Tuesday morning.

Most are seniors who want to register for the newly introduced insurance scheme of the Prime Monister for seniors 70 years and above of age.

Cadres are sifting through the Aadhar and related documents and helping seniors to file the insurance application forms.

If you are above 70, you can sign in for medical insurance irrespective of your status and income.

The rain is a drizzle but the Q is strong.
