Bishop Rev. Lawrence Pius of Dharmapuri Catholic diocese is celebrating the silver jubilee of his episcopal ordination with a special Holy Mass at St Thomas Cathedral on June 29 evening. A few bishops of Tamil Nadu will co-celebrate on this occasion. There is a short felicitation after the Mass which starts at 6 p.m.
Rev. Pius was chosen to be auxiliary bishop of Madras-Mylapore diocese in 1998, ordained the next year and later posted as bishop of Dharmapuri.
He had his schooling in San Thome.
