A Bharatanatyam recital to raise funds – this was a recent simple event that meant much for the community that got the support.
Young dancer Srisamvruta Sridhar, disciple of Meenakshi Chittaranjan performed at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, for the benefit of War Widows Welfare Association.
Commodore Manish Dhakray, Indian Navy, commanding officer, INS Adyar was the chief guest and Dr.Sreekumar Menon, IRS, former director general of customs, Indirect Taxes & Narcotics, was the guest of honour.
K N Ramaswamy, director of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan participated.
Donations raised were received by Rani Rajarathinam, treasurer of the War Widows Welfare Association, Chennai.
