There is a buzz inside Srinivasa Sastri Hall in Luz which was missing for many months earlier this year.
The hall was locked up following a legal case slapped on its lease holders by Sri Kapali Temple, Mylapore from whom this property has been leased.
Now though, the December Season has afforded bookings for concerts by various arts promotion bodies.
“We have been fully booked in December,” said Hemanth Kumar, the secretary of SINA which managed this hall.
Currently, Chennai Fine Arts is holding its music fest here. Concerts are held through the day and will be on till Dec.31.
On Wednesday, flutist J A Jayant was on stage along with his co artistes and some 40 plus people were present for the evening concert.
Though the space is located on the busy Luz Church Road, the traffic noise does not seep into this hall and the limited space allows for a more personal, music listening pleasure.
To book this space, contact the manager / staff at Ranade Library on the ground floor.
