All local make-shift shops selling crackers for Deepavali are offering only ‘green’ crackers in accordance with state regulations.
Two shops that received lots of shoppers mid-week were the one located in the Chennai Corporation Complex in R. A. Puram and a stall set up on R. K. Mutt Road, opposite the tank of Sri Kapali Temple.
Gift boxes of crackers start from Rs.150 and the big packs cost as much as Rs.10,000.
