Sri Lasya Priya ( School of Bharatanatyam) is celebrating its 20th anniversary on Thursday, August 10 at R. R. Sabha, Mylapore. Events start at 6.15p.m.
The chief guest for the event is well-known Bharatanatyam dancer and teacher, Bragha Bessell.
The school is headed by Sreedevi Priya Sriram who is the founder and artistic director. It is located at Ambujammal Street, Alwarpet.
For the anniversary event, her disciples will be performing a thematic presentation titled ‘Vishnu Margam’.
To mark this event, the school will follow its tradition to contribute towards a social cause – it will now be contributing towards 20 social causes such as old age homes, places for destitute women, orphanages, to distribute clothes, plant Tulsi saplings in temples, support Veda patasala and ghosalas and for some other causes.
