Hawkers who manage stalls on South Mada Street are a smart lot. They offer veggies, flowers and many other items that are needed for an occasion, be it a festival, a season or a celebration.
Since Wednesday, some hawker stalls have a colourful look – this is because they are of selling a variety of flowers.
Flowers that will be needed for Varalakshmi puja which falls on Friday and for the Onam festival celebrations which began this week and end on August 29.
Hawkers are quoting these prices – 100grams flowers are at Rs50, 250 grams at Rs 100.
They say flowers arrive here every day.
