The community of Our Lady of Light Church in Luz, led by parish priest Fr. G. J. Anthonysamy and his assistant, Fr R. Sathish, will be celebrating the annual feast of the church on August 11.
The flag will be hoisted on August 5 at 5.30 pm by Rev. Dr. George Antonysamy, Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore. This signals the start of the feast.
The First Holy Communion service will be held on the 6th August at 7.30 a.m. and 13 children of the parish will receive communion.
A eucharistic procession will take place the same day at 6 pm. The procession will begin from the church, go upto Isabel’s Hospital and return to the church.
Holy Masses will be said everyday and a car procession will be held on the 11th of August at 5.30 pm . The decorated statue of Our Lady will be taken in procession from the church to Luz Circle junction and return back to the church, and later, the flag will be lowered.
