The mridangam of late vidwan, Kaaraikudi Mani features in the showcase panel on India’s classical musical instruments set up in the Sangeet Deergha section of the new Parliament building in Delhi.
The names of the maestro and their family members or the Foundation which donated the musical instrument is also mentioned in the web site of the new Parliament building.
According to Usha, Kaaraikudi Mani’s niece, officials from Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts in Delhi visited Mani’s residence in Chennai to take the vidwan’s mridangam from the family home and have showcased it.
