Mosques in the Mylapore zone were abuzz this June29 morning as Bakrid was being celebrated by Muslims.
Morning prayers at these mosques were held, at mosques located off St Mary’s Road in Mandaveli, Kamaraj Salai in R A Puram, at Jumma Masjid on Kutchery Road and the one in San Thome.
Thereafter, people exchanged greetings.
It was also a fun time for teens who came dressed in their festival best and enjoyed the holiday mood.
This photo was shot at the Jumma Masjid on Kutchery Road, a zone where Chennai Metro work is in full swing more so because a station will be located here.
