Amarnath, Surendranath, Aparna, who are known as the Mylapore Trio, reside in Sumukham Flats in this area and it was their idea of putting up a traditional oonjal.
The Trio said that they wanted to make the best use of an antique oonjal plank and nickel chain (more than one hundred years old) and decided to put it to good use.
This facility was launched on June 18 and made for a social get-together with a high tea served that evening.
