On the 12th day of the Vasantha Utsavam for lord Singaravelar, following the pradosham event, the historical episode from Kazhugumalai was presented in the form of a Thiru Kolam at Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple.
The legend related to Lord Muruga killing Darasuran with his vehicle, the Peacock, being to his left as against the usual posture of being on his right.
Another special feature of the Thiru Kolam was that Singaravelar was seen with a bow and arrow.
