Srinivasa Sastri Hall in Luz, which has been sealed for many months by the HR&CE Department of the state on issues related to rentals and renovation of the space, will be reopened this week.
This follows a decision taken by a Division Bench of Madras High Court hearing the case filed by the management of the hall in Luz: an interim order has allowed for the hall to be de-sealed.
This order was given on Wednesday and the hall’s management hopes the HR&CE executive at Sri Kapali Temple which oversees these properties, will comply with the court order this week.
If this happens, then organisers of short December Season music concerts fests will be able to book the hall through this month.
The Ranade Library in the same block, ground floor, which was also sealed was re-opened days later following a court order.
