The annual Utsava Bharatham series of Natyarangam (the dance wing of Narada Gana Sabha) commences on Sunday, 14th of August at 6:00 pm in Sathguru Gnanananda Hall, TTK Road, Alwarpet.
Every evening, there is a talk and then a dance feature on stage, this year the theme is ‘festivals.
The inaugural day features “Kapali Arupattu Moovar” a dance production highlighting some of the salient features of the Panguni Utsavam of Sri Kapaleeshwar Temple.
This 90 mins production, set to music by Dr. Rajkumar Bharathi has been choreographed by Jayanthi Subramaniam, director, Kala Darsana, Mylapore.
The performing artists are Jayanthi Subramaniam, G. Narendra, Bilva Raman, Ashwini Viswanathan, Season UK, Shruthipriya R Vignesh, Athul Balu and Maanasa. S.
V. Sriram will talk on the Panguni festival and then follows the dance.
