A diabetes screening camp was conducted at St. Isabel’s Hospital on May 14.
Dr Stephen K. Mathew, GM ( Operations) at the hospital said that over 100 people participated in the camp where blood sugar, nerve function and urine examination were performed, and dietary and medical consultation were offered for free.
The camp was organised under the guidance of Dr. Jalaja Ramesh, senior consultant diabetologist at St. Isabel’s Hospital who spoke about the importance of maintaining a positive attitude and leading a healthy lifestyle while living with diabetes.
A patient education booklet prepared by Dr. Jalaja was distributed to all the attendees.
