MTC starts mini bus service linking Mylapore to Central Station

S21c.

That is a new MTC bus route that has been launched this past week.

The mini bus service of MTC connects Mylapore with Central Station ( Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. MGR Central Station). It starts from a point on R. K. Mutt Road opposite the tan k of Sri Kapali Temple.

Currently, the service is branded ‘Express’. The service was formally launched by DMK MLA, Udhayanidhi Stalin and is meant to provide cheap transport to the rail station for residents of the Mylapore zone.

  1. A regular bus service with more frequency during mornings and evenings for Egmore railway station is very much needed.
Why this is not addressed to so far is a wonder to note. Please start immediately. It may be routed through Royapettah, Spencer, C in C Road, Pantheon Road, Egmore stn, ending on other side of the station where a bus terminal is situated.

  2. Sir,
It is really good move by government for introducing mini bus to Central railway station. If this bus is going to central via Egmore Railway station, then many train going people will be benefitted since there is no direct bus service from Mylapore tank to Egmore railway station. Hope our local MLA will do necessary action for the same.
