The Tamil translation of two books written in English by music artiste T. M. Krishna is to take place on April 3 at Raga Sudha Hall, Luz. 6 p.m. onwards.
The two books are – A Southern Music: The Karnatic Story and Sebastian & Sons: A brief history of mrdangam makers . These have been translated into Tamil under the titles Karnataka Isaiyin Kathai and Maraikkappatta Mrudanga Chirpigal: Sebastian Kudumba Kathai.
These two translations have been published by Kalachuvadu, a leading publisher. The translation of these two books has been done by writer and translator Aravindan.
These two books would be launched by poet Sukumaran and by writer activist Sunny M Kapicadu.
After the books release function, there will be a concert by nagaswaram artistes Vyasarpadi G Kothandaraman, Mambalam S Sivakumar, thavil artiste Veliyambakkam V M Palanivel, mrudangam artistes Delhi Sriram, Praveen Sparsh and Sumesh Narayan.
