Classical dance is also back on stage at the sabha halls. This follows the sabhas opening their doors to events long after the state eased pandemic time regulations.
On Friday, wellknown Bharatanatyam dancer and teacher Urmila Sathyanarayanan who runs her school in Kilpauk launched a three day dance fest at Narada Gana Sabha’s main auditorium in Alwarpet.
Every evening, at 5.45 and at 7 p.m. solo and group recitals are presented and these are open to rasikas but protocols must be followed in the hall.
Already, music concerts have been staged for some weeks now at various venues. So have plays.
