M. S. Rajagopalan, retired senior manager with Canara Bank and a resident of Mylapore for over three decades, passed away on August 11.
He was 89 and resided in Luz Church Road.
His family said MSR, as he was affectionately referred to by friends was a generous and humble soul who was deeply respected by family and friends, always seen in a perfect white shirt and was known for his knowledgeable conversations.
He was a connoisseur of Carnatic music and frequented the Mylapore sabhas during the kutcheri season.
A regular at the Nageswara Rao Park, his brisk walking sessions contributed greatly to his fitness and holistic lifestyle, his family said. He was also an active member of the Probus Club of Chennai.
His family said that he was a huge, positive influence in the lives of many relatives and friends who adore and look up to him even today.
He is survived by his daughters ( Nirmala Kannan and Anandhi Govindarajan), son (Murali) and their families.
