Kolavizhi Amman Temple which is located in a congested area of north Mylapore and has a hoary heritage is often a place that buzzes through the day. Local area residents pay a visit al most every day.
But now, the buzz is absent. All because of the pandemic regulations and advice.
Since the time the temple was re-opened like others, people who drop in are told to follow the regulations and spend 5 / 10 minutes here and move on; they are now allowed to sit and pray or meditate or catch up with friends.
Says a temple volunteer, “This place is not what we are so used to. But people understand the need to keep distance and spend limited time here.”
