PSN Disciple’s Foundation, Mylapore will be celebrating late Carnatic music maestro Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer’s 110th birth anniversary on July 25 at Raga Sudha Hall, Luz with an evening of events.
Vidwan R K Shriram Kumar is the keynote speaker – he talks on Semmangudi as a performer – his approach to various aspects of manodharma on the concert platform and his approach to singing Krithis. He will also throw light on Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer as a teacher.
This will be followed by a musical presentation by students of guru P S Narayanaswamy, featuring compositions tuned and popularised by the doyen, says a note from Anandhi Lakshman
