P. A. Seshan, former Finance Editor of The Hindu passed away on Thursday, July 9. He was 102.
Seshan was born on July 7, 1913. He was s student of St. Joseph’s College, Trichy from where he obtained an MA in Economics and Politics in 1933. He began his journalistic career in 1934 in Kolkata and joined The Hindu in 1957. He was generally known as ‘Leo’ due to his popular column ‘Leo’s News and Notes’, which he wrote for The Hindu till he retired in 1998.
Even after his retirement, Seshan contributed articles to The Business Review. He also acted as an advisor to many organisations including TVS Group, Ramco, Shriram Group and more.
