The Garuda Sevai which was held today morning at Sri Adi Kesava Perumal Temple, Mylapore, as part of the Brahmotsavam celebrations, was a special event indeed. More than 1 kg of gold was used to make the Garuda vahanam on which the diety was seated. The brainchild of a few devotees and the temple authorities, this vahanam took almost a year to get ready. The chairman N. C. Sridhar says, “We had a silver vahanam and wanted to do something more for this year’s brahmotsavam. A few devotees got together and got this vahanam done under the supervision of the temple authorities”.
The brahmotsavam will continue till Apr 14. For details call 24643873.
