Some recent popular Tamil plays are featured in the Tamil Drama Fest which is being hosted by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and starts this evening ( Nov.3) at the BVB auditorium in Mylapore.
The opening play is by Gurukulam (Original Boys Company 95) which presents ‘ Kadavul Vanthirunthaar’ of Poornam New Theatres. The play was written by Sujatha and has been directed by Poornam Vishwanathan.
Plays of Augusto, Koothapiran, Mali and Kathadi Ramamurthy besides Y Gee Mahendra’s play ‘ Paritchaikku Neramaachu’, a evergreen comedy of the UAA troupe are featured, the latter to be staged on Nov.12 evening.
Admission is free. Plays start at 7 p.m. daily.
