Lekshmy Manoj, a teacher who runs a music school – Carnatic Life at Mylapore recently celebrated Onam with her students. An orientation programme on carnatic music was followed by a vocal performance by her students. A poo kolam contest was also organised for the students and parents.
Lekshmy has been taking classes for 4 years. She says, “I quit my job in the IT sector to pursue music full-time. I recently completed my masters degree in music and hope to start research soon”.
