A police official at Mylapore Police Station has been arrested for taking a bribe.
This Special Sub-Inspector was picked up by officers of the Vigilance and Ant-Corruption Wing after a plaint was lodged with that department.
The complainant said that the police official asked for money when he had requested the official to speed up a case that he was handling.
