The 62nd edition of the Art Festival of Mylapore Fine Arts Club is scheduled to be held from December 8 to 17.
N. Gopalswami, former Chief Election Commissioner inaugurates the fest and confers the titles SANGEETHA KALA NIPUNA on mridangam vidwan Guruvayur Dorai and NRITHYA KALA NIPUNA on dancer Alarmel Valli on the inaugural day i.e., on 08/12/2013 at 5 p.m..
Dr. T. V. Gopalakrishnan will felicitate the awardees.
The function will be followed by a Bharathanatyam dance ballet – JOTHIR GAYAMAYA by students of Kala Darshana, a dance academy run by guru Jayanthi Subramaniam.
