The San Thome Unit of The Society of Vincent De Paul celebrated its 81st Annual Day on Sunday, Sept.29 morning. The meeting was held at a hall in the San Thome cathedral campus where this group is based.
The Society is mainly involved in social service to the poor. It conducts health camps for the community, collects clothes and home needs for poor families and also holds blood donation camps.
It also encourage doctors and counsellors to render free community service to the community.
Society members accept donations for their activities since all their programmes are driven solely by public donations.
