Children trace alphabets in paddy filled in plates for the ‘aksharabayasam’ ceremony to mark the first day at school at Akshara Playschool in Arisikara Street, Mylapore.
Over 40 children joined this school on June 3 and all of them, guided by their parents took part in this auspicious ritual.
