Uriyadi event was held in the morning of August 10, at Dr. Ranga Road. It was organised by Sri Nandalala Religious Trust.
The image of Lord Krishna was brought from the temple to the road. It was decorated with flower garlands.
Young boys took turns to hit the pot with a stick, while people around poured water on them. A Silambattam performance by the participants followed.
The traffic in Dr. Ranga Road, near this temple, was diverted for about half an hour.
A procession of image of Lord Krishna will take place at 5.30 p.m. today.
Balamukundashtakam will be recited in the temple at 6.30 p.m. and ‘Uyali’, a dance of image of Lord Krishna will be held at 7.15 p.m. today.
