Vintage Film Lovers’ Club has been screening old Hollywood film classics of 1930s to 1960s for Mylaporeans who grew up with such films.
The club’s promoters want to firm their plans and invite those who enjoy the Hollywood hits of yesteryear to become members or a founder member of the organisation.
The Club plans a video projection of the Orson Wells directed film classic, “The Stranger” on October 10 at 6.30 p.m. at Vivekananda Hall, P. S. School campus, Mylapore.
Film historian and chronicler of events and personalities, Randor Guy will talk about this film before the screening.
Club founder Surveswaran says that if 15 people can become founder members and donate a sum, the Club will have a solid fund to bank on for regular screenings at this venue. People can also walk in and pay for each show.
