MOOWES (Marketing Organisation of Women Entrepreneurs) is holding an exhibition cum sale till September 6. The exhibition will be held at the C. P. Art Centre on Eldams Road, Alwarpet.
The exhibition will showcase a wide range of ethnic and western wear for women and children, Bengal cotton and embroidered saris, churidhar materials, linen, jute mats and bags, jewellery and gift items.
A Handloom and Handicraft exhibition is on at Sri Sankara Hall, 281, TTK Rd, Alwarpet. The exhibition is open till September 11. On sale are Andhra wood carving, Madhubani paintings, UP and Kashmiri furniture, Tanjore paintings, Orissa saris, Rajasthan bangles and jewellery, brass items, toys and dress materials.

Major artists from Kolkata are having their paintings exhibited at a show titled ‘The Bengal Trial’, the first travelling exhibition of Calcutta Arts Club at Vinnyasa Premier Art Gallery, 21/11, 1st Main Road, CIT Colony, Mylapore. The exhibition is held on till September 4. The exhibition will display the paintings of five artists – Partha Sarathi Pan, Madhuchanda Majumder, Pradip Das, Debabrata Hazra and Subir Dey.
