The vidaiaatri festival of music and dance that follows the hectic Panguni fest at Sri Kapali Temple in Mylapore will be held from April 14 to 25 at the Navaratri mantapam inside the temple.
This year, there are to be solo / group dances on five evenings, a bit unlike the standard schedule which has featured mostly music concerts.
Among the musicians who will perform are Vijay Siva, S. Mahathi, Brindha Manickavasagan, Vishaka Hari, Jayashree Vaidhyanathan, Ramakrishnan Murthy and Sandeep Narayan.
The dance concerts will be by Urmila Satyanarayanan’s dancers, by Saikripa Prasanna’s dancers, dancers of Sheela Unnikrishnan, of Meenakshi Chittaranjan and a solo recital by Srinidhi Chidambaram.
All concerts start at 6.30 pm ( Srinidhi’s dance starts at 7 pm).
