Want to watch a one-hour long Therukoothu performance? Head to MGR Janaki College in R A Puram this April 14 evening.
The veteran guru Purisai Kannappa Sambandan’s troupe will present ‘ Vali Moksham’ from 7 pm onwards for one hour and the recital is open to all at the campus auditorium.
The day’s event starts with the felicitation of two TN artistes who have been chosen for the Padma Shri awards – Purisai Kannappa Sambandan and parai isai artiste Velu Asan.
A number of people from the arts and culture field will speak on the two artistes and on their work. This event starts at 6 p.m.
Koothu-p-Pattarai Trust, Bharata Ilango Foundation and MGR Janaki College have collaborated for this event.
