World Idli Day was celebrated on March 30 and the Sangeetha restaurants chain celebrated the day with a special menu. This menu was on offer at the Sangeetha on South Mada Street, Mylapore too.
In the morning, the menu included idli with paya, podi idlis, ghee idlis and sambar idlis besides the standard idli with sambar and chutneys.
In the evening, there was kaima idli, tawa podi idli, kadubu idli and thattu ghee podi idli. Staff at Sangeetha in Mylapore said that the idli-paya combo was popular.
