For some decades, Ramakrishna Mission Students’ Home, Mylapore has been organising free upanayanam for deserving, economically disadvantaged boys. This event is conducted annually on Akshaya Tritiya day. This year, the Upanayanam will take place on Wednesday, April 30.
People are invited to refer to boys who wish to take part. Age limit: Up to 17 years. Last date for registration: April 10.
The upanayanam will be conducted at Ramakrishna Mission Students’ Home, No. 66, P. S. Sivaswamy Salai, Mylapore.
