Yuva Bharati , a city-based organisation working towards empowering the youth of Chennai conducted an awareness campaign against drug abuse for the students of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College on March 17 on campus.
Dr. Vanishree Shriraam, professor of community medicine, Ramachandra Medical College gave a talk.
Over 400 students of the college participated in this campaign.
The talk was followed by a snappy event of singing theme songs and staging a skit. The students took a pledge promising to stay away from substance abuse.
The event was presided by Dr. V. Chandrashekar, the principal of the college. R. Shivakumar, convenor of Yuva Bharati also addressed the gathering.
