R R Sabha in Mylapore has planned a unique event to celebrate the new year of different regions and communities of the country and this will be done with music and food.
This event is on April 3 evening.
Titled Puthiya Thodakkam, the event will present a concert of classical and folk songs from regions from Tamil Nadu to Kashmir featuring classical ragas and rhythmic folk tunes, Chita Srikrishan from Bangalore will present the vocal concert.
This will be followed by a dinner where the menu offers food from different regions of the country, said R. Nagarajan, secretary of the sabha.
To attend this event, you need passes; these are now available at the R R Sabha office located on Sundareswarar Street, Mylapore – these are limited.
