Deputy chief minister Udhayanidhi Stalin cancelled two public events slated to be held in Mylapore on Friday evening.
Stalin was scheduled to formally open the gyms built inside Nageswara Rao Park in Luz and the multi-purpose playground in San Thome, located off Marina Loop Road.
DMK cadres said Stalin was unwell and could not keep his appointments. Mylapore’s walls were plastered with posters on the two events.
Both projects under the Chennai Corporation have been terribly delayed and the football ground suitable for football teams of 6s to play matches besides practice here, has not been fully laid the way it should be done.
The ground has a well-fitted children’s play area and a walk pathway, besides a gallery for the football soace and wash rooms too.
