Only a handful of people reported at the locked gates of Mylapore Hindu Permanent Fund Ltd., on South Mada Street in Mylapore this Saturday morning (MMarch 29) to get access to the lockers rented by them so that they could take home whatever they had stored here over time.
This special access was provided by the police of the Economic Offences Wing of Tamil Nadu Police, which is pursuing cases against the seven accused with includes the Fund company and its MD, Devanathan and his associates, who are all serving time in jail.
The access to lockers was the second one and it is unlikely that any more opportunities will be made.
EOW police say that about 299 lockers were rented to people and some 160 clients accessed them in round one.
