Masi magam: processions from Mylapore temples head to Marina seashore, rituals performed

The masi magam observance was the dominant scene on the shores of Marina beach on Friday morning.

From Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple, the lord and ambal, neatly adorned, were taken out in a palanquin from the temple in Mylapore to a point on the Marina behind the light house.

Under a make-shift tent, rituals related to masi pournami theerthavari were held.

Similar processions from other Mylapore temples headed to this shore for the observance.
