A festive atmosphere pervaded the Asthika Samajam in Venus Colony, Alwarpet, on the evening of Monday, March 24.
The hall was packed with people, many clad in traditional attire, gathered here to witness the culmination of a remarkable 104-day spiritual journey – the Sampoorna Srimad Valmiki Ramayanam pravachanam by Brahmashri Dr. B. Sundar Kumar.
People were all attention as Sundar Kumar concluded his discourse in a choked voice – he seemed emotional as were some people who were seated before him.
Vedic pundits felicitated him with Vedic prayers, shawls, and prasadam from the Kanchi Mutt. An elderly woman, who had attended every session of the pravachanam, was also honoured on stage.
The event concluded on a warm note, with each family in the audience receiving a complimentary copy of ‘Sundara Kandam’, written by Sengalipuram Brahmashri Anantarama Dikshitar.
This sacred text, containing Sanskrit verses with detailed explanations in Tamil, serves as a reminder for the attendees here to continue their spiritual journey with Srimad Ramayanam in the comfort of their homes.
