Members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society’s Abiramapuram unit attached to Our Lady of Visitation Church on St. Mary’s Road organised an eye screening camp at the church campus on Sunday, February 9.
105 people attended the camp out to get their eyes checked. Five people were chosen to undergo cataract operations and 30 people were given spectacles.
Parish priest Fr. Martin Charles and St. Vincent de Paul Society local unit president K. Rakesh planned the camp which was conducted in collaboration with Sankara Eye Hospital in Pammal.
