The first fruits of the mavadu season have arrived at some of the hawker stalls in Mylapore’s South Mada Street. There are a few varieties on sale but these are early days.
Prices range between Rs.350 and 400 per kilo.
Hawkers say the prices will drop a bit as more stocks arrive.
But going by trends of the past years, the prices hover around Rs.250 – Rs.300.
