If you are at Citi Centre mall in Mylapore this weekend, you may want to spend some time at a show on the ground floor of this shopping mall which seems to be getting its zing back in recent times.
BadAsss Bottlez, a Mylapore-based venture of Venkat Subramanian, is presenting a melange of attractions. On one side will be a variety of bottles that have been recycled with creative art and ideas which are also up for sale, on another are fun and games and contests, on another you can get to appreciate the versatility of glass and one another, desks to interact with less-abled but highly creative people.
BadAsss Bottlez has located many bottle artists online who upcycle glass bottles into innovative works of art which sell at a premium. Venkat says he has trained people in this craft and their works are on sale now.
Also on sale are a variety of craftworks and utility products presented by NGOs who work with less-abled people.
This mela at Citi Centre mall is on for 10 days – from February 7 to 16, through the day .
