Four classical dance concerts were held on February 21 evening inside Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple, Mylapore to mark Shivaratri.
The event was organised by the Association of Bharatanatyam Artistes of India ( ABHAI),
The evening’s programme began with a performance by Malini Balaji,: this was followed by a short solo recital by Sushama Ranganathan, then the duo, Jayakrishan and Sreedevi Ambadi performed.
Finally, the students of guru Krishnakumari Narendran presented a thematic recital, with a dozen dancers featured in it.
Sasirekha Balasubramanian compered the event and dance teacher Sujatha Mohan was the chief guest.
ABHAI also held a series of dances at Sri Marundeeswarar Temple in Thiruvanmiyur as part of its Shivaratri programme.
