The 81st ARAE-FEARA Regatta is now going on the Adyar river and hosting the event is the Madras Boat
Club in R A Puram.
Competitions are being held from January 6 to 11 and this meet marks the return of this iconic international rowing event after two years.
The regatta kicked off on January 6 evening with an inauguration ceremony, flag hoisting and taking of
the pledge by the teams.
The Heats and Repechage events are from January 7 to 10, from 7 to10 a.m., daily.
The regatta will culminate on January 11 with the finals followed by the prize giving ceremony and
the closing ceremony, 2 p.m. onwards.
This prestigious event features some of the best rowing athletes.
The participating clubs are Madras Boat Club, Royal Madras Yacht Club, Colombo Rowing Club, Bengal Rowing Club, Lake Club, Calcutta Rowing Club, College of Military Engineering, and College of Engineering Pune.
